`beiju' is the celebration of one's eighty-eighth birthday. The first Kanji 'bei' means rice. It represents Kanji's eight in the upper part and the lower part. The second one 'ju' (It also pronounces 'kotobuki') means blessing to one's longevity or just congratulation.
